Join acclaimed artist Leslie Rego for a two-evening introduction to the expressive art of watercolor. Designed for artists of all experience levels, Leslie will guide participants through the foundational techniques of watercolor painting, including brush handling, color blending, and creating light and shadow.
By the end of the workshop, complete a watercolor landscape or nature-inspired scene using techniques demonstrated in the workshop.
All materials will be provided.
Age & ability: 18+ and older; all levels; beginners welcome!
This is a two-day workshop that takes place from 6-8pm, Monday, October 27, and Thursday, October 30.
About the Instructor
Leslie Rego is a watercolor, pen and ink, and textile artist. Her work reflects Idaho's natural beauty and explores passages of time through seasonal change. She finds inspiration in nature's quieter moments. She is intrigued by the subtle transition, fading blooms, and the promise of renewal within Idaho's natural forests. Her award-winning work has been featured in national and international exhibitions, private collections, and the U.S. Department of State's "Art in Embassies" program. Currently she has a watercolor series hanging.
