Las Migas is\nunique a mong Spanish music groups\, a fascinating blend of Flamenco and\nMediterra nean styles that combines classic and contemporary rhythms. The\nfour wome n of Las Migas come from four different cities that span not only\ngeograp hy but also the cultural diversity of Spain: Barcelona\, Sevilla\,\nCórdo ba and Lérida. The two Andalusians are the guitarists: Marta Robles\,\nth e veteran\, and Alicia Grillo\, the most recent addition and youngest\nmus ician of the group. The two Catalans are Alba Carmona\, a vocalist and\nda ncer\, and Roser Loscos on violin. They all bring to the group one common\ npassion: Flamenco.
Alba Carmona\, lead singer and dancer of Las\nM igas\, just learned that she is expecting her first baby! She will still \nbe touring\, and singing in her inimitable style\, but her doctor has ad vised\nher not to do her dance number. The Professional Artist Residency Program is su pported by\nScott Miley &\; Jane Rosen and\, in part\, with funds for I nternational\nGuitar Night and Socks in the Frying Pan provided by the Wes tern States\nArts Federation (WESTAF)\, the Idaho Commission on the Arts a nd the National\nEndowment for the Arts\, and all of our members\, donors and our annual Wine\nAuction participants.

Carole King\nTapestry: Live at Hyde Park celebrates the 45th anniversary of Carole\nKing’s mas terpiece with a spectacular concert for more than 65\,000 fans\nin Hyde Pa rk on July 3\, 2016 including the first-ever performance of the\nentire al bum in sequence.
The Hyde Park performance\, recorded on\nJuly 3\, 2016\, is Carole’s first British concert since 1989 and features\nCarole leading a full band (including rhythm guitarist Danny Kortchmar\, who\npl ayed on the original Tapestry album) through each of the album’s 12\nson gs\, plus her favorite compositions from her impressive songbook. Guest\np erformers include her daughter\, Louise Goffin\, who joins her mother on\n several tracks including Where You Lead (which the duo re-recorded as the\ ntheme song to the popular television series Gilmore Girls)\, plus the\nLa urence Olivier Award-winning West End cast of Beautiful: The Carole\n King Musical.
Proceeds from this screening will go toward The\ nCenter's Professional Artist Residency Program which focuses on bringing\ nmusicians and artists into our local schools to work with students and\nt eachers.

The Giving Walk offers residents and visitors the\nopportunity to engage with world-class visual art while supporting an\norganization th at provides much-needed services to the community during the\nholidays and throughout the year. Galleries will have collections\nbins where Giving Walk participants can donate canned or boxed\nnonperishable food in support of the Hunger Coalition. The\nUnreliable Narrator considers the power of the narrator who may not be\ntrustworthy: a stor yteller who misleads\, or perhaps misunderstands the\nevents unfolding in the course of a story\, or asks the reader to construct\ntheir own narrati ve structure as they read a book\, watch a play or film\, or\nlook at a wo rk of art.
