Join SVMoA and Chris Santa Maria, Director of Gemini G.E.L. at Joni Moisant Weyl, for a talk exploring the pivotal role Gemini G.E.L. played in shaping the printmaking landscape of the 1960s and 1970s, using works from Circa 1971 to examine the history, techniques, and market forces that helped elevate contemporary printmaking as a major artistic medium. The talk will center on the history of Gemini, some of the printmaking processes and sculpture multiples that pushed the boundaries of modern edition-making, illustrated by a curated selection of photographs by Gemini co-founder Sidney B. Felsen.
