89-year old Agnes\nVar da\, one of the leading figures of the French New Wave\, and acclaimed 33\ nyear-old French photographer and muralist JR teamed up to co-direct this\ nenchanting documentary/road movie. Kindred spirits\, Varda and JR share a \nlifelong passion for images and how they are created\, displayed and sha red.\nTogether they travel around the villages of France in JR’s photo t ruck\nmeeting locals\, learning their stories and producing epic-size port raits of\nthem. The photos are prominently displayed on houses\, barns\, s torefronts\nand trains revealing the humanity in their subjects\, and them selves. This contemporary\ncla ss hopes to awaken the athlete and artist in all of us. Rooted in clear\nt echnique practices it emphasizes healthy alignment\, flexibility\, stamina \nand artistry. These principles are used as points of departure for risk\ ntaking and investigation. Improvisational tools are utilized as a way to\ nawaken the senses\, challenge movement conventions\, and find ways to\nna vigate from feet to floor seamlessly. This high intensity class builds\nin to learning excerpts of LED repertoire\, giving dancers the opportunity to \ndig deep into the movement and investigate elements of dynamics\, direct ion\,\nsize and texture. Be prepared to sweat and surprise yourself! O pen to\nintermediate &\; advanced dance students from middle school to high\nschool.
