This two-day\nclas s will explore landscape through various mark making techniques. Hands\non instruction will introduce participants to a recycled &amp\; recyclable\n polypropylene paper made from repurposed scraps &amp\; trimmings called\nY upo\, which works beautifully with pencil\, ink and acrylic. Working from\ nmemory and the landscape itself participants will create landscapes that\ ndefine their own sense of place.

Fra nces\nAshforth is practicing artist who spends a great deal of time on the land\n&amp\; water. Her memory based observations are experiences gleaned from\ntime spent studying all that is around me. She works in different m ediums\nincluding drawing\, printing and painting. She hopes her work\, si mple\nmemories on paper\, will instill the desire to respect and remember what the\nland continues to give us in all its variety\, grit\, and beauty . Frances’s\nwork has been shown in print biennials and shows in Boston\ , Atlanta\,\nMinnesota\, Illinois and Wisconsin as well as in galleries in the UK\,\nDenmark\, Ireland and Canada. Her prints have been shown in NYC at The\nPainting Center\, IPCNY\, The IFPDA Print Fair\, Art on Paper Fai r &amp\; EFA\nBlackburn 20/20. Museums in New York State\, Arkansas\, &amp \; Massachusetts\nhave shown her work as well as many galleries across New England.

Get Creative\n&amp\; H ave Fun! This week-long\, full-day art camp gives 3rd–5th grade\nstudent s the opportunity to develop artistic skills\, engage with friends\,\nplay and make original artwork. Campers will paint\, draw and build fabulous\n creations! They will also expand their creative knowledge through art\nfoc used field trips where they will meet local artists and be inspired by\nth eir work.
