Join us\nfor JPC A fter Hours Tour of the exhibition Free\nPlay. < /span>
Free\nPlay considers the relationshi p between design and creativity in\nsocial spaces dedicated to recreation and play. Inspired in part by artist\nIsamu Noguchi\, who believed in the power of social spaces to unite art and\nplay in order to build community\ , the project will examine the way that\nartists\, architects and designer s have worked to create artistically\nthoughtful spaces for social interac tion and engagement. The project will\nalso look at play more broadly\, of fering interactive opportunities that\nencourage individual and group play . We hope to unleash some creativity\,\ninvestigating and remembering that the unstructured\, unplugged nature of\nplay nurtures experimentation and heightens our senses.
This\nspecial event is presented by SV MoA’s Junior Patrons Circle (JPC)\, a\ngroup of young(ish) adults dedica ted to fostering passion for arts and\nculture in our community. By hostin g events and educational activities and\ninforming other young adults and their families about SVMoA\, the JPC\ninvolves the next generation in the museum’s programs and develops future\narts advocates. JPC members also enjoy many benefits\, including invitations\nto all JPC events\, discounts on classes and tickets of certain program\nevents\, and advance purchase of concert series tickets.
