SVMoA’s top priority is the health and well-being of this community, especially those who are the most vulnerable. It is important to act collectively to slow the spread of COVID-19 so, in response, we have opted to cancel public gatherings (concerts, openings, classes) organized through Sun Valley Museum of Art and Company of Fools through May 1, 2020.
Sport a new self-designed skateboard deck next time you play at the skate park!
Come with your ideas or get inspired exploring some creative renditions by well know contemporary artists. In this workshop you’ll design and paint your very own skateboard deck which is yours to keep at the end of the project.
All supplies, including the skateboard deck, will be provided by the workshop.
This workshop takes place on Saturday, April 18 from 10am-4pm.
About the instructor:
Bob Dix earned a BA at San Francisco State University and an MFA at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He has exhibited his work widely in California, Nevada and Idaho at institutions including the Headlands Center for the Arts, San Francisco Artspace, the San Francisco Art Institute, the Richmond Art Center, the San Jose Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
