For the fourth year, SVMoA is gathering community partners to celebrate Día de los Muertos at the Hunger Coalition in Bellevue. A variety of individuals and local non-profits will build altars or ofrendas to commemorate loved ones lost and to celebrate their lives and contributions. The community is invited to visit the altars, listen to music from Mariachi Tleyotltzin, watch the Museum’s folkloric youth dance group perform, and enjoy traditional Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto.
The event is free and takes place from 1–4pm. Join us!
