This two-session teen workshop invites students to work together to craft and perform an original piece of theatre using a variety of art forms: visual art, music, spoken word and movement. Company of Fools artist and instructor Jessica Mayne will set a framework and guide students as they choose a theme and create a performance piece, working in a style of theatre known as “devised” or experimental. SVMoA and Company of Fools will film the final product and share it with the community.
This two-session workshop takes place Fri, Mar 12 & 19, from 1pm–4pm.
About the Instructor
Jessica Mayne is a New York trained actor, singer and producer. She has performed in various theatres across the US, including the Company of Fools in their 23rd season. She is incredibly excited to work with the Fools and SVMoA to keep theatre alive during these trying times.
