About the instructor:
Boise artist, Lisa Flowers Ross, creates abstract textile art that reduces core elements into basic shapes and organic forms. Her hand dyed colors and distinct edges create a graphic quality, while added stitching enhances the tactile nature of the fabric. In her body of work, nature and daily observation are her main inspirations. Flowers Ross’ artwork has been exhibited in solo, group and juried exhibitions nationally and internationally, and are included in private, public and corporate collections.
The artist has created several public artworks, received grants from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and Alexa Rose Foundation and has been an artist-in-residence in Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming. Flowers Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art (drawing), as well as a degree in Business. She is a juried artist member of the professional groups, Northwest Designer Craftsmen and Boise Open Studio Collective Organization.
